Family and early life of Jagdeep Dhankhar

Jagdish Dhankhar was born on 18 May 1951 in a small village in Rajasthan. He is an Indian politician and former leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is currently serving as the Governor of West Bengal and is also an advocate in the Supreme Court of India. He is going to hold the post and in the coming time, the post of the 14th Vice President of the country, whose tenure will be from 2022 to 2027.

Political career of Jagdeep Dhankhar

Jagdeep Dhankhar was a Member of Parliament representing the Janata Dal in Jhunjhunu Lok Sabha in Rajasthan during 1989–91 and former MP from Kishangarh, Rajasthan and former President of the Rajasthan High Court Bar Association Jaipur from 1993 to 98, when he was appointed Governor was. of West Bengal as on 30 July 2019 and is the leading candidate for the post of Vice President of independent India in 2022.

Jagdeep Dhankhar is associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party and has also been a member of the Lok Sabha from Jhunjhunu.

He has also held the post of President of the Rajasthan High Court Association.

He has played an important role in providing reservation to the Jats of Rajasthan.

Jagdeep Dhankhar has been a member of the Lok Sabha from Jhunjhunu. He was a Member of Parliament from the Bharatiya Janata Party from 1989 to 1991, but later joined the Congress.

After his defeat in the Ajmer Lok Sabha election on a Congress ticket, he rejoined the BJP in 2003 and was again elected as the MLA from Kishangarh in Ajmer.
