Kailash Satyarthi was born on January 11, 1954 in Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh. His name was initially Kailash Sharma, which he later changed to Satyarthi. After completing his schooling from Vidisha, he obtained a degree in electrical engineering from here. In addition, he holds a master’s degree in high-voltage engineering. He has been successful in connecting NGOs, teachers and trade unions around the world to his work to improve the lives of as many children as possible. Also, he associated himself with an organization working for children around the world, so that they can reach out to the needy children around the world. He is also a member of the Global March Against Child Labor and its international advocacy body, also known as the International Center on Child Labor and Education.
