Josh McDaniels Made Unfortunate NFL History With Firing

On Tuesday night, the Raiders decided to part ways with head coach Josh McDaniels. They also fired general manager Dave Ziegler.

McDaniels was somewhat on the hot seat coming into this fall. Things  clearly weren't going well this season, especially on the offensive side  of the football.

Now that McDaniels has been officially fired, he can say that he made  NFL history. However, it's not the type of history that a coach wants  to make.

According to James Palmer of NFL Network, McDaniels is the first head coach in league history to be fired before the end of his second season for two different franchises.

Back in 2010, the Broncos fired McDaniels after a 3-9 start to the season.

McDaniels has been very successful in the NFL as an offensive coordinator, there's no doubt about it. His track record as a head coach, however, is downright pitiful.

At this time, it's highly unlikely McDaniels ever receives another head coaching opportunity in the NFL. After all, it's not like he's earned it.
