Steelers Starter Suffered 'Serious' Knee Injury on Thursday Night
The Pittsburgh Steelers could be without a key defensive starter for an extended period of time.
During the first quarter of Thursday night's win over the Tennessee Titans,
Steelers linebacker Cole Holcomb suffered an ugly knee injury and was immediately carted off the field.
After the game, head coach Mike Tomlin said the injury was "serious" and added that his "thoughts and prayers" are with Holcomb as he starts his road to recovery.
Tomlin said he would have a more official injury update "next time we come together," via ESPN.
Holcomb signed with the Steelers as a free agent earlier this year.
The former Washington Commanders linebacker had carved out a key role in the Pittsburgh defense, recording 54 tackles and two forced fumbles through eight games.
